The project involved the construction of an asphalt-paved parking area within the warehouse facility, designed to accommodate trucks, container vehicles, and operational transport used in warehouse logistics.
The works commenced with site clearing, excavation, and preparation of the subgrade (natural soil layer) to establish a stable foundation capable of supporting heavy vehicle loads.
Construction activities included:
- Subgrade preparation and compaction to achieve the required load-bearing capacity of the natural soil base
- Placement of Granular Sub-Base (GSB) material to distribute vehicle loads and improve structural stability
- Installation of Aggregate Base Course (ABC) as the primary structural road layer
- Application of bitumen tack coat to ensure proper bonding between the base layer and asphalt surface
- Placement of hot mix asphalt premix (bitumen with coarse and fine aggregates) to form the final pavement surface
- Layer-by-layer compaction using double drum road rollers to achieve the required density and durability
- Surface grading and drainage finishing to ensure proper water runoff and smooth vehicle movement
The completed asphalt parking space provides a durable heavy-duty pavement surface, supporting efficient truck parking, container handling operations, and long-term warehouse logistics activities.
