• The project involved the construction of a 15-foot wide internal access road within the container yard to support the movement of container trailers, heavy trucks, and yard handling equipment.
• The road was developed to improve internal logistics efficiency and vehicle maneuverability within the operational container yard environment.
• The works commenced with site clearing, ground leveling, and preparation of the subgrade, ensuring a stable and compact foundation capable of supporting heavy container transport loads.
• Construction scope included:
  • Excavation and road alignment preparation within the yard area
  • Subgrade compaction to achieve the required load-bearing capacity
  • Placement of Aggregate Base Course (ABC) as the primary structural road layer
  • Layer-by-layer compaction of the ABC material using double drum road rollers to achieve the specified density
  • Surface grading and finishing to ensure proper drainage and smooth internal vehicle circulation

The completed roadway provides a durable and stable internal transport route, enhancing container handling operations and improving the efficiency of heavy vehicle movement within the facility.
